Grant Application Process:

1 - Teacher will apply via short online form; teacher is strongly advised to provide a copy of

the email confirmation with the completed application to the school bookkeeper.

2 - When a grant is awarded, AWE will email a grant award letter to the teacher and cc the

school bookkeeper (using the contact information provided on the application).

3 - Grant payment will be in the form of a check made out to Albemarle County Public

Schools with clear indication of the teacher and school where the funds will be spent.

The AWE check will be delivered to the school bookkeeper who will follow ACPS

processes for handling grants. Schools may not make purchases for the grant until the

funds are received.

4 - A final grant report will be due on January 15 of the following year (before the next

grant request is submitted). This form may be submitted at any time; however,

teachers should have spent the grant funding and been able to see the impact! Online
